Die W\u00e4lder sind dort alt, teilweise sind die B\u00e4ume mehr als 600 Jahre alt, und naturbelassen. Was f\u00e4llt, f\u00e4llt eben um und bleibt liegen und wird zum N\u00e4hrboden f\u00fcr die n\u00e4chste Generation. Au\u00dferdem sahen wir ganze Waldstriche mit verbrannten B\u00e4umen neben frischen neuen. Wie wir sp\u00e4ter erfuhren, werden teilweise Waldbr\u00e4nde kontrolliert gestartet, um den Wald zu lichten oder Ansiedlungen vor nat\u00fcrlichen Waldbr\u00e4nden zu sch\u00fctzen. Dann sah man kilometerweit verbrannte, verkohlte Baumruinen.<\/p>\n
